It Can Be Done! Casino goes smoke-free!

The Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi is close to completing a massive $53 million expansion and renovation, but that's not the news. The real news is that, when it reopens in a few weeks, it will be the first South Mississippi casino to be smoke-free.

You read that correctly: A major casino is going smoke-free.

Despite the naysayers we've all heard, this shows that there is, in fact, customer demand for smoke-free. Just read the article about this big move by The Palace and make note of the fact that they polled their customers about this and the management believes it's the right thing to do for customers and employees.

What do you think of this great story? Can Louisiana learn something from this? Please share this huge news with your friends and fellow smoke-free supporters!

Smokers have the right to choose to destroy their bodies. Nonsmokers should have the right to choose not to. When smoking is allowed in public air, the rights of nonsmokers are compromised in favor of the money being made by tobacco companies and hospitals.

We love our Smoke Free Law up here Illinois which does include Casinos. Polls show public support is now at 83% and that even a majority of Illinois smokers back the Smoking Ban!

I think this is great! I refrain from going to casinos because of the heavy smoke in the playing area. At least have two sections: smoking and non smoking.

I think it is about time that casinos and bars go smoke free!!! I have enjoyed going to the casinos and as a non smoker can't really enjoy it b/c of the second hand smoke I just can't breathe but since Louisiana is thinking about going smoke free in the Casinos I would definitely frequent the casinos again!!!! I think as a non smoker it is my right to breathe clean air!!!!
